Are you interested in learning more about your faith alongside other open-minded Christians?

Whether you would like to study the Bible in more depth, develop your skills in pastoral care or leading worship, or reflect on the engagement of Christian faith with the wider community, Luther King House may be the way ahead for you.  We offer a range of courses, from research and higher degrees, to short, free-standing modules in areas such as biblical study, community work from a Christian perspective, and worship, mission and evangelism.  You can work towards a university-level qualification, or take a course simply for interest and your own personal and spiritual development.  At £5.00 a session our Church Saturday courses give opportunities for members of a congregation to start delving into study.  Our lecturers have experience in ministry, community work and fresh expressions of church, in addition to excellent academic qualifications.

Luther King House itself is situated near the centre of Manchester, with good access by public transport and some on-site parking.  We have a well-stocked library, with access to on-line materials, and all our courses are supported by on-line resources. Some of our courses run over four or six weekends a year, others require attendance on one or two days a week during academic semesters, others can be done as week-long summer schools – teaching staff and our academic registrar will help you work out the best pattern to meet your own needs and availability.  If you need to stay overnight, B&B accommodation is available if booked in advance, and there’s a good selection of meals in our dining hall.
