By Car

From the M61 or M62

Follow the Stockport and Airport signs. At junction 12 on the M62 join the M60 following the airport signs

At Junction 5 leave the M60, following the signs to the airport A5103

At the first junction turn left onto the B5157 signed Northenden, leading into Palatine Road

Follow Palatine Road for about 2.5 miles where it turns into Wilmslow Road proceed forward looking out for Owens Park

Owens Park is a student residence including a tower block on your right. Brighton Grove is the fifth turning on your right (opposite Platt Fields at Abbey Solicitors)

If you reach Hardy’s Pub you have gone too far!

From the M60 (clockwise)

Leave the motorway at Junction 5 and travel towards Manchester on Princess Parkway, A5103.

After about 2 miles turn right onto A6010 (Wilbraham Road)

After about 1 mile turn left onto A6010 (Wilmslow Road)

Brighton Grove is the fifth turning on the right (opposite Platt Fields at Abbey Solicitors)

If you reach Hardy’s Pub you have gone too far!

From the M60 (anti-clockwise)

Leave the motorway at Junction 5, the slip road takes you onto the A5103 towards the Airport

Take the first exit and turn right (taking you under the A5013)

Turn right again and you will be back on the A5103, now heading towards Manchester!

Now follow the directions above

From the M6 (northbound)

Turn off at Junction 19, take A556 towards Manchester

Follow the signs to Manchester M56

Follow the M56 until Junction 3

Beware at Junction 3, the M56 follows the slip road, keep to the two centre lanes for Manchester City Centre (A5103), not the M56

Follow the A5103 straight on past the M60 turn off

Now follow the directions above (M60 (clockwise)

By train

From Piccadilly Station

(Note: there are now 2 entrances/exits)

Take the exit on the platform level and walk down the slope outside and continue in the same direction until you reach Piccadilly Gardens (about 5 minutes walk) crossing the Gardens to the bus stops beyond Café Nero

From here you can take the bus going to Owens Park, Didsbury and East Didsbury or Northenden. These include 40- 44, 46, 48, 140-143, 157

Get off at Norman Road (ask the driver for Platt Fields which is opposite). Brighton Grove is the next turning after Norman Road, just past Abbey Solicitors

NB Taxis are available from the Fairfield Street entrance, down the escalator from the main concourse. Follow the “TAXI” sign

From Victoria Station

Take the Metrolink to Piccadilly Gardens and take one of the buses listed above

From Oxford Road Station

Go down the station approach slope to the traffic lights

Turn to the right and cross over Oxford Road to the bus stop outside the Palace Hotel and take one of the buses listed above

From Chorlton Street Bus Station

Walk up to Portland Street and catch the No.42 bus at the Portland Tower or go to Piccadilly Gardens where there is a greater choice of buses (see above)
