Online databases Print

The library subscribes to two online databases which can be accessed by members of the library from any computer.

The databases are an excellent means of finding journal articles on any given subject.

Religion and Philosophy Collection

This database provides full texts of articles from more than 300 different journals on subjects including world religions, major denominations, biblical studies, religious history, epistemology, political philosophy, the philosophy of language, moral philosophy and the history of philosophy.

ATLA Religion Database (Religion Index Online)

ATLA Religion Database provides the bibliographic details of articles from over 1,500 journals on subjects including biblical studies, world religions, church history, and religion in social issues. It is a much bigger database than Religion and Philosophy Collection but it does not provide the full text of the article.

Open the databases in a new window (you will need a username and password - obtainable from library staff)

Full texts of articles not available online as full text can be obtained on inter library loan if they are not available in the library.

If you need assistance in using the databases, please download a helpsheet by clicking on the link below, or ask library staff for assistance.
